Lot of 4 Vintage Lead Jig Deer Hair Lures - Newport, Red Glass Eye, others 1960s
Interesting group of 4 vintage lead jig style lures with deer hair tails.
One lure is still in the original package marked Newport Fish Lures, Washington DC.
This has a price tag from Yeatman's Sports and Hardware. Internet archives have stories and advertisements of Yeatman's Sports and Hardware in the Bailey's Cross Roads Shopping Center in Fall's Church Virginia. These ads and stories date from 1963 to 1966.
The staples on this package are open as if the lure had been pulled off from a display card.
The package is about 4 1/2 inches long.
The largest lure has red glass eyes, which seems quite rare for a jig style lure.
